Sam has gone

March on our farm is what is called tupping time. The ewes start cycling and of course nature rules. Sam (the pet ram refer blog of May 2006) could smell those hussies and broke through 2 fences to be with them last Friday. After 2 days of these slappers chasing him around we found him cast. We brought him home and did all we could for him but this afternoon he passed into the big green field in the sky. I was with him when he went and I am sure he still had a smile on his face and I am sure I could hear him say 'look out girls - the stud has arrived' Rest in Peace Sam, you are a legend around here and known world wide because of this blog.
